This is not a paint night. It’s not an art class.
There is no skill required. No experience needed. No right or wrong way to do this.
What you’re here for is a process. One that works whether you’ve ever tried to create a painting or not. Not just to make something beautiful to look at… but to move something inside you that’s been waiting to move.
People walk into this room carrying things. Grief. Stress. A version of themselves they’re tired of being. A feeling they haven’t been able to name. And they walk out lighter.
You take something you’re done carrying… a feeling, a weight, something you’ve been holding onto… and you write it directly on the canvas in paint. It leaves you. It lives on the wall. Your emotional load gets lighter.
You take something you want to move toward… a feeling, a version of yourself you’re ready to step into… and you write it directly on the canvas. It gets embedded in the work. It goes home with you as a daily reminder of who you are becoming.
You get to decide which one you need. Or maybe it’s both.
You arrive with something in mind. We’ll slow down together so you can connect with it more fully. One word. A feeling. A version of yourself.
You choose the colors that feel right. You mix them. You pour them. Color moves the way emotion moves… spreading, mixing, refusing to be controlled.
Your intention, written in paint, is surrendered into movement. Watch what happens when you stop trying to control it.
By the end of the workshop, you’ve completed a painting that is entirely, specifically, unmistakably yours. Not a decoration. A reminder.
“The paint teaches you what control can’t — and that lesson stays with you long after you leave.”
— Suzanne M.Release Through Intention & Flow
You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t need any experience. You need to be ready.
I’m not a formally trained artist.
After a traumatic brain injury, something shifted in me… a need that led me to painting. What I discovered was that the canvas could hold what words couldn’t. I could take what I was carrying emotionally and release it through the painting… and put down what I no longer wanted to hold.
I created my first painting in February 2022. Since then I’ve completed over 100 pieces, and I’ve been guiding others through this same process since Spring 2023. What I share isn’t technique. It’s a process about surrendering, trusting, and allowing something to shift inside you… and on the canvas.
I found this because I needed it. Something tells me you’re here for the same reason.
